Chris has spent more than a decade working personally with clients as well as training advisers, throughout the country, on how to professionally provide individuals, families and businesses with tailor-made Personal and Business Insurance Plans that meet their unique circumstances and needs. Through his training, coaching and mentoring Chris has helped many advisers to develop very successful insurance careers. Adelphi Insurance Brokers Ltd comes out of Chris’s vision to create a customer-focused insurance brokerage that helps clients through every step of the process, from quote to claim.

Andrea Phillips

General Manager / Insurance Adviser

Andrea is our dynamic, efficient and super organised general manager. Since she first entered the workforce, Andrea has worked as an administrator or office manager for a number of very successful companies. Whether it’s working with the Insurance Companies, Head of Claims or working directly with clients, Andrea is highly organised, always keeping up to date with the advice process. As a Registered Financial Adviser actively visiting clients, Andrea has a unique understanding of client needs and is always there to lend a helping hand from quote to claim.

Chris is a vastly experienced adviser devoting the last decade to helping individuals, families and small business owners develop personalised insurance plans to meet their individual circumstances and needs. Chris is a Registered Financial Adviser whose unique skill is making insurance simple and easily understood. He is as passionate about classic cars as he is about ensuring people have the right insurance cover in place for when they need it the most – claim time – and Chris will be right there with a helping hand when that time comes.

Michael Boon

Insurance Adviser

Michael has returned to New Zealand after spending 24 years working in senior management roles in London. His experience includes managing eight different Stations for London Underground tasked with ensuring the safety of commuters as they moved through the different Stations (over one billion people a year use London Underground). Michael is now a Registered Financial Adviser living in Canterbury and is passionate about ensuring people’s financial wellbeing and providing Personal Insurance Plans to meet their personal circumstances and unique needs.

Margaret Kirk

Insurance Adviser

Living in the Waikato, Margaret, a Registered Financial Adviser, has nine years experience in the insurance industry, in both personal and business insurance.
Her specialty areas are micro business, group insurance, and health insurance. Her passion is travel, and she usually manages one trip a year.
Margaret’s aim is to ensure her clients are well protected for the real events that occur. Her strength is in the follow-up and will be with you every step of the way, ‘from quote to claim’.

Nic Young

Insurance Adviser

Returning to Taranaki from Wellington four years ago, Nic moved his family back to take advantage of the wonderful opportunities that the region provides. Passionate about customer service and helping people, Nic has nine years of experience as a mortgage and insurance adviser. He is looking forward to developing a long and rewarding career with Adelphi Insurance Brokers and helping individuals and families make informed decisions about their Health and Risk insurance needs. Outside of work, Nic is keenly involved in restoring and conserving antique furniture and owns the Old Cheese Factory in Te Roti, which he is slowly restoring, hoping to preserve a little of Taranaki’s history.

Angela is a Registered Financial Adviser based in sunny Napier. Having recently moved back to NZ after 13 years living in Australia, Angela is passionate about helping individuals, families, and business owners protect their most valuable asset – their ability to earn income. Along with her three young boys, Angela enjoys the ocean, kayaking, bush walks and mountain biking.

Michael is an Authorised Financial Adviser living in Wellington. Michael started his career, providing relationship management and business development. His experiences have given him an insight into the impact financially, physically, and emotionally unexpected events can have on people and their families. Seeing the results of the right protection put in place ahead of traumatic events is what motivated Michael to become an Adviser. That their health really is their wealth, and without it goes their ability to produce income for their family. He is passionate about reminding people that their most important asset to protect is themselves and their family.

Rohit Sachdeva

Rohit has been living in New Zealand for more than a decade with his wife and young daughter, and brings a wealth of experience in the Financial Services Industry. Rohit is a Registered Financial Adviser who can give insurance advise and is the General Manager and mortgage specialist of Adelphi Home Loans. He has worked for multiple financial institutions and is especially passionate about helping clients purchase their first or next home. He gets joy and satisfaction from providing advice and support that will help his clients get on the property ladder and start to build their wealth.

Janet Greeff

Janet is a Registered Financial Adviser who is based in Nelson. Having recently arrived from South Africa, Janet has over 20 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry. This has given her first hand experience of the impact that an unexpected life event can have on a family. Janet is a hard worker who pays attention to detail and is passionate about ensuring that her clients are fully protected with the right level of cover. Outside of work Janet is a fun-loving wife and mother who loves being in New Zealand and exploring her new surroundings with her family.

Samrita Sachdeva M.Sc.

Samrita is a Registered Financial Adviser based in Christchurch. She is passionate about ensuring that her clients have the best possible protection and a strong understanding of what they need and why they need it. Samrita has a Masters Degree in Mathematics and believes in building long-term relationship and being there when her clients need her. In her free time, Samrita looks after her daughter, likes to explore new places and make new connections.

Bill Acklin

Bill is a Registered Financial Adviser living in Dunedin. Entertaining and entertainment coordination has been a massive part of Bill’s life, and put together with nine years as a Dunedin City Councillor gives him a natural disposition to always be looking out for others. For the last 7 years, Bill has worked as a consultant in roles that help home owners with energy saving solutions, and in businesses with compliance around employment and health and safety legislation. Family means everything to Bill, and as your financial adviser, he will work with his clients to ensure that they and their family have the right cover in place to protect them should an unexpected life event occur.

Steve Pearson

Steven has returned to New Zealand after spending over 20 years working in the Aviation industry in such diverse places as Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the UK, as well as North America. His experience includes visiting every continent apart from Antarctica in both operational and supervisory roles. Steven is originally from the Coromandel and now calls Cambridge home. Having always been interested in Financial Services, Steven is excited to join the Adelphi Team and to help maintain the financial health of individuals and organisations with Personal Protection Plans to meet their unique circumstances and needs. Away from work Steven is a dedicated rugby fan as well as a family man.

Andrew Wilkinson

Kiwi Saver Specialist, Insurance Adviser – AFA

Andrew is an Authorised Financial Adviser who, since graduating from Victoria University in 2013, has already had substantial exposure to the financial services industry, working across insurances, mortgages, investments and financial planning. Andrew brings a fresh perspective to financial advice and seeks to share his knowledge to as wide of an audience as possible – in particular, the younger demographics looking for a ‘head-start’ in life. When he heard that Adelphi was looking for a dedicated KiwiSaver Adviser, Andrew leapt, at this opportunity – because it gave him an opportunity to advise full-time on arguably the best financial product available to Kiwis. Andrew is passionate about building long term relationships with his clients and wants to stick with them long enough to see their financial goals through to fruition.

Michelle is our enthusiastic, efficient and super organised CCC Manager. With a wealth of experience in Customer Service team management, gained both here in New Zealand and Australia, across multiple industries including insurance. Michelle has a passion for ensuring people have their health and insurance needs covered, ensuring our team are asking the right questions and offering the best possible customer service. Born and bred in Christchurch, Michelle is passionate about sport, primarily football, but given the opportunity, she never misses a Crusaders home game. Outside of sport, Michelle and her husband enjoy socialising with family and friends and simply pottering around the house.

Sonia Caird

Compliance Officer

Sonia joined Adelphi Insurance Brokers in November 2018 after restructuring her clothing business to an online model due to the Canterbury Earthquakes. Building on her experiences, over the last 27 years, as a successful businesswoman, Sonia moved into the role of Compliance Officer, which fits nicely with her keenness for compliance and accuracy. Outside of Adelphi, Sonia enjoys the gym and catching up with family and friends.
